		Elaine Benes Elaine Benes, (played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus) is an ex-girlfriend of Jerry Seinfeld, although Benes and Seinfeld are still friends. The daughter of renouned author Alton Benes, Elaine finds herself with many different men. Elaine was once humiliated by an exposing Christmas card she sent out, and everyone finds her 'little kicks' style of dancing hillarious. Benes held her longest relationship with David Puddy, although they were 'off and on'. Pro-choice Elaine is always shoving Jerry with her 'get outs' when he gives her exciting news. She makes it to the top of J. Peterman's company after Peterman leaves for Burma.
